Callings

Zordin    Champion

Your calling is a heroic archetype encompassing a broad style of play. It reflects who your character wishes to be—and how they’ll overcome the forces threatening the Skysea. 

Each calling grants a powerful starting ability, along with some other benefit. Your calling also includes additional abilities to learn as you gain experience. Finally, each calling requires 1 () or 2 (✦✦) points in a given attribute. (Shinarians, with their Agility locked at 0, can’t be Wanderers.)

Requires Strength A mighty warrior, you can expend Stamina to strike a Mighty Blow, inflicting much more damage. Start with 6 Life and +1 Stamina.

Requires Agility A wary traveler, you can expend Awareness to evade attacks like a Leaf on the Wind. You’ve also wandered widely, absorbing lore from other cultures.Start with 4 Life and +1 Awareness.

Requires Intellect ✦✦A brilliant strategist, you can expend Awareness to devise a clever Stratagem. You’ve also read widely, learning lore from around the Skysea.Start with 4 Life, +1 Awareness, and 1 extra lore.

Requires Will A mystic or a prophet, your control over the Skysea’s natural magic lets you Call Wind to protect yourself and blast your foes. Start with 5 Life and +1 Stamina. 

Requires Intellect ✦✦A savant of the high magic that powers Mazrian civilization, you can Focus magical energy. Start with 4 Life and +1 Awareness. Choose a magical Discipline: either Dark or Light Magic

Requires Will A master of the deep magic that once pervaded Shinar, your Soulgaze lays bare your foes’ intentions. Start with 5 Life and +1 Awareness. Choose a magical Code, corresponding to one of the eight ideals. (When you choose this Code, you also choose one of your ideals.)
